STEM Scholarship for Excellence Benefits

Recipients of the GBF-Gokongwei Group STEM Scholarship for Excellence will receive comprehensive benefits throughout their degree program, contingent upon meeting scholarship retention criteria each semester. These benefits include:

  • Annual financial grants ranging from ₱80,000 to ₱120,000, directly deposited into the scholar’s bank account
  • Participation in scholar development initiatives, encompassing leadership training, skills enhancement programs, and on-the-job training opportunities within the Gokongwei Group

STEM Scholarship for Excellence Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for STEM Scholarship for Excellence, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Enrollment in one of the priority STEM courses designated by GBF
  2. Outstanding academic performance, with a minimum general weighted average of 85% or equivalent; for incoming first-year college students, belonging to the top 10% of their senior high school batch
  3. Good moral character and active involvement in extracurricular activities
  4. Demonstrated financial need to support their educational endeavors

Documentation Requirements

Applicants must submit the following documents along with their application:

  1. Completed application form
  2. Proof of outstanding academic performance:
    • Certified true copies of grades or Form 137 for Grades 11 and 12 (for incoming college students)
    • Certified true copies of grades from the previous academic year or the two most recent consecutive semesters (for ongoing college students)
  3. Proof of enrollment:
    • Letter of intent to apply and enroll for incoming college students
    • Certificate of registration for ongoing college students
  4. Proof of annual household income, depending on the source of income:
    • Recently filed income tax return or certificate of employment with salary for employed family members
    • Proof of pension for families dependent on senior parents’ pension
    • Tax exemption certificate for families with no regular source of income
  5. Proof of residence:
    • Photograph of residence capturing the house number
    • Recent electric or water bills from December 2023 to March 2024
