DOST Scholarship Exam Results Key Highlights:
- 10,756 students out of 89,510 examinees (12.02%) passed the rigorous qualifying exam.
- This year saw a significant increase in applicants compared to the previous year, with a jump of over 20%.
- The qualifiers are divided into two programs:
- RA 7687 Scholarship Program: 5,839 awardees from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with exceptional academic standing.
- Merit Scholarship Program: 4,917 awardees demonstrating high aptitude in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
What to Expect Now
The qualified students will receive their Notice of Award, while those with incomplete requirements will be notified about the necessary documents they need to submit. Following this, all qualifiers, along with their parents or legal guardians, are invited to attend an orientation on DOST Scholarship policies and procedures.

The Benefits of Being a DOST Scholar
DOST scholarship recipients enjoy a comprehensive support package throughout their S&T degree program, including:
- Monthly Stipend: ₱8,000 to help with living expenses.
- Tuition Fee Subsidy: Up to ₱40,000 per academic year for students enrolling in private universities and colleges.
- Learning Materials Allowance: ₱10,000 to cover textbooks and other study materials, or for internet connectivity.
- Thesis Allowance: ₱10,000 to support research and thesis completion.
- Travel Allowance: One economy-class roundtrip plane ticket per year for scholars studying outside their home province.

Important Requirements for DOST Scholars
To maintain their scholarship, recipients must:
- Pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program in a priority S&T field.
- Enroll in a state university/college or a private institution recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) with a Center of Excellence, Center of Development, or Level III accreditation for the chosen program.
- Complete their return service commitment. After graduation, scholars are required to serve the Philippines for a period equivalent to the number of years they availed of the scholarship, preferably in their field of specialization.
